The Lynwood Jail, also known as the Century Station Jail, serves as LA County’s main Women’s Jail. Women arrested throughout Los Angeles County are generally taken or transferred to the Lynwood Jail.

Century Sheriff’s Station (also known as the Lynwood Sheriff Station) is run by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and provides law enforcement services to nearly 200,000 residents living within 13 square miles of southern Los Angeles County.  These communities include the City of Lynwood and the unincorporated LA County areas of Florence (90001), Firestone, Walnut Park (90255), Willowbrook (90059) and Athens Park (90061).
