How Much Does Bail Cost?

A bail bond in California generally costs 10% which is the California mandated law and set by the California Department of Insurance. The bail fee, (also known as a premium) is a non-refundable percentage of the total amount of the bail. Simply, if the bail amount is $25,000, the bail bond fee will be $2,500. However, Love Bail Bonds is one of the few bail bond companies inbail bond payment plans and financing California allowed to charge 8% bail premiums when certain qualifications are met.  At Love Bail Bonds, there are no hidden fees (bond fees, notary fees, processing fees etc) or taxes for a bond.

The bail bond premium is usually paid by cash, credit card or check. To help you handle the bail bond process, we offer several flexible payment options and payment plans. You may not have available cash or credit to cover the entire bail payment but we can help you find a way to get your loved one released.

If you don't know how much the bail amount is, we will find out for you and take care of things from there. Depending on how much the bail amount is and what the charges are, you might not need collateral to pay the bail bond costs. We'll let you know and make the process as pleasant and easy as we can for you.

A final note of importance: BEWARE OF companies that charge less than the mandated Southern California bail bond amount.  These companies are operating illegally, and shouldn't be trusted with your loved one's jail release. Often times they will find a way to revoke the bond early and put your loved one back in custody for "no reason at all".  There have been several lawsuits and department of insurance investigations in Orange County, Riverside, Los Angeles, and San Diego over this exact issue.  This time is difficult enough for you and you family. Don't become another victim.
